Two Sparrows — a Bible verse where you already look
A new verse of the day on your Lock Screen every morning, chosen for what's on your heart, with the full verse always visible. Every verse quoted from the Berean Standard Bible. No ads, no feed, no streaks.
Overview
What is Two Sparrows?
Two Sparrows is a Bible verse widget for iPhone. It puts a new verse on your Lock Screen every morning, adds Home Screen widgets in three sizes and a StandBy view for your nightstand, and helps you find verses for how you feel. Every verse comes from the Berean Standard Bible.
Most of us pick up the phone dozens of times a day. Two Sparrows puts Scripture on the screen you already look at, sized so the whole verse fits, not a cut-off line. The larger widgets let you listen, save, share or get another verse without opening the app.
The name comes from Matthew 10:29–31: "So do not be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows." The app is built to be calm: no ads, no feed, no chat and no streaks. Missed a day? Nothing resets.
What Two Sparrows does not do. It does not write Scripture with AI. Every verse is from the Berean Standard Bible, and the short notes under "About this verse" come from the Two Sparrows editors. AI only helps match verses to how you feel or what you type, and the "Scripture only" setting hides every AI feature. Two Sparrows is not a church, a pastor or a counselor.
Audience
Who Two Sparrows is for
You reach for your phone first thing
The first thing you see in the morning can be a verse instead of notifications. A new one arrives on your Lock Screen every day, the full verse, sized to fit.
You need a word for a hard moment
Anxious, afraid, grieving, lonely, weary or can't sleep: tap how you feel, or say it in your own words, and get verses that fit.
You want Scripture, not a feed
No ads, no social feed, no chat and no streaks. Turn on "Scripture only" and every AI feature disappears.
You would rather listen
Verses and prayers are read aloud, word for word. Play your saved verses with a sleep timer at night.
You want a gentle daily rhythm
7-day paths give you one verse, one prayer and one small step a day, with an evening prayer at the time you choose. Skip a day and nothing resets.
You share verses with people you love
Send a verse as a clean picture for a Story, a square post or a wallpaper, and keep the ones that matter in Saved.

In practice
Situations where Two Sparrows helps
Illustrative examples of how the features fit into a day, not user reviews.
The first unlock of the day
You pick up your phone at 6:40 and, before any notification, read today's verse on the Lock Screen. It is the whole verse, not a line that ends in "…".
A worried afternoon
A message from the doctor's office leaves you uneasy. You open Two Sparrows, tap "Anxious" and read three verses. One of them opens in its chapter, and you keep reading.
A night you can't sleep
Your phone sits on its charger in StandBy with the Candle look. You start the Sleep in peace path, listen to tonight's verse and prayer, and let your saved verses play with a sleep timer.
A verse for a friend
A friend is grieving. You find a verse in Comfort in grief, share it as a clean Square picture, and save it for yourself too.

About Scripture. All Scripture in Two Sparrows is from the Berean Standard Bible, which is in the public domain. The short notes under "About this verse" are written by the Two Sparrows editors and are not part of Scripture.
About AI. AI is used only to suggest verses that fit a feeling or the words you type or say. Like any AI, its suggestions can miss; the verses themselves are always quoted word for word. "Scripture only" turns every AI feature off.
Not pastoral or medical care. Two Sparrows is a devotional tool. It is not a substitute for your church, a pastor, a counselor or medical care. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 in the US or your local emergency number.
